What is media termination support in UCCX

Hi all,

Can someone explain when I create a call control group what is Media Termination Support and why is the default set at no?

I'm going to assume here you're using UCCX v7.0.  According to your license, a number of "Media Termination Dialog" channels are supported for Prompt and Collect.  These channels connect to the CTI ports on the Call Manager during IVR.  You can see these channels by navigating to Subsystems -> Cisco Media.  When you create Telephony Call Control Groups on Subsystems -> Cisco Unified CM Telephony, selecting 'No' for "Media Termination" causes the CTI ports created to automatically use the 'Default' Media Termination Channels.  Clicking 'Yes' to Media Termination causes the UCCX System to create new Media Termination Channels for this group of CTI ports.  Doing this allows you to configure the Triggers to use particular Media Channels, allocating certain Media Termination channels to specific triggers.
