The backup method you will use for CRS will be a bit cumbersome, but essentially you can use whatever you would like. On the CRS server you need to configure a backup routine and schedule, pump your backup routine to a shared folder on another server, or a tape drive, or network share. Once you have the data there, use EMC or whatever you would like to move it to its final destination.
